As we close the books on another remarkable year, Pravo Construction takes pride in reflecting upon our achievements in 2024. This year has been defined by significant growth, new team members, and the completion of landmark projects that enhance the fabric of Austin’s construction history.
We have seen our presence expand throughout the region, forged new community partnerships, and sharpened our skills to better serve both our clients and neighbors. Our work is more than brick and mortar; it’s about fostering a spirit of cooperation, innovation, and shared prosperity that will carry us confidently into the future.
Team Growth and New Talent
No company can deliver excellence without a skilled and dedicated team. In 2024, Pravo Construction made a concerted effort to expand and strengthen our services, adding seasoned industry professionals who embody our company values and competition spirit. We not only invested in new hires but also ensured that our existing team members had opportunities to broaden their expertise, pursue professional development, and engage with industry peers at local RECA and ULI events. The result is a dynamic roster of talented individuals who collaborate seamlessly, share best practices, and continually raise the bar for what we can accomplish.
Welcoming Our New Controller, CPA, and Avid Golfer: Chase Netherton
We are delighted to welcome our new Controller, Chase Netherton, CPA, whose financial acumen and strategic thinking are already making a positive impact in our operations and vendor interactions. With years of accounting experience and a deep understanding of complex financial structures, Chase brings a wealth of knowledge that ensures greater visibility and precision in our financial operations. His systematic approach to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting helps us optimize resources and maintain fiscal health—key ingredients in supporting our future growth.
Beyond his professional credentials, Chase is known for his love of golf, an interest that dovetails seamlessly with our team’s competitive spirit and camaraderie. We look forward to seeing Chase shine both in the office and on the green, forging relationships that extend beyond the workplace at our industry golf events. His presence at Pravo Construction embodies our belief that a balanced, well-rounded team member—who thrives on both professional challenges and personal pursuits—contributes immensely to a supportive, productive company culture.
Introducing Our New Project Manager and Wrestling Champion: Tanner Shearer
It’s not every day a construction firm gains a team member with championship-level grit, but that’s exactly what happened when we welcomed Project Manager, Tanner Shearer. Before entering the world of construction, Tanner earned legendary status in Ohio’s wrestling community, clinching three state championships and setting state records that remain impressive to this day. His early accomplishments highlight a drive, resilience, and discipline that align perfectly with the demanding environment of project management.
After graduating from Kent State University, Tanner seamlessly translated his competitive edge and strategic thinking into a thriving career in construction management. He’s already proven himself to be a meticulous planner, a strong communicator, and a dedicated leader in the field. Whether guiding a project from conception to completion or motivating colleagues through a challenging schedule, Tanner’s legacy as an athlete and commitment as a manager ensure that the projects he oversees will meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Spotlight on 2024 Projects
Jupiter Supper Club Completion
In a city celebrated for its culinary innovation and cultural vitality, the Jupiter Supper Club stands out as a testament to Austin’s evolving dining scene. Tasked with bringing the client’s unique vision to life, the Pravo Construction team transformed a concept into a fully realized destination. The design drew inspiration from mid-century aesthetics and modern hospitality trends, resulting in a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere.
The completion of Jupiter Supper Club not only added another jewel to Austin’s culinary crown but also reinforced our expertise in shaping environments that foster connection and community while preserving the historic Thompson Building. As guests savor handcrafted dishes and curated cocktails, they are surrounded by the subtle artistry of a well-executed build. The project’s success was a direct result of strong collaboration between our design partners, suppliers, and field team members who worked tirelessly to ensure every finishing touch met the highest standards.
Westlake Country Club Fitness Center
Nestled in one of Austin’s most picturesque neighborhoods, the Westlake Country Club Fitness Center was a project that demanded both technical precision and creative sensitivity. We were entrusted to oversee the club’s expansion and construct a space that would inspire health, well-being, and personal growth. The resulting facility blends sleek, modern lines with thoughtfully chosen materials and top-tier equipment. Natural light filters through expansive windows, promoting a serene, energizing environment that encourages visitors to focus on their fitness journey. We are proud of the team’s work and cannot wait to begin on the next phase of the Westlake’s development with the main clubhouse renovation in 2025!
Revitalization Within the Historic Norwood Tower
The Norwood Tower, a storied Austin landmark, stands as a beacon of the city’s architectural heritage and enduring charm. When tasked with revitalizing several floors and common areas of this beloved structure, we approached the project with both reverence and innovation as being a part of Pravo’s history. Our primary goal was to work with all parties and respectfully preserve the tower’s historical elements while enhancing its functionality, accessibility, and comfort for modern-day users. This delicate balance required a meticulous approach—from restoring vintage fixtures and retaining iconic design features to incorporating contemporary building technologies that elevate safety and efficiency.
By thoughtfully adapting these spaces for today’s tenants and 2025 expectations, we have helped ensure the Norwood Tower remains a relevant, desirable location going into the new year. The project’s success highlights Pravo Construction’s capacity to navigate complex renovations that blend old and new, heritage and innovation. The result is a harmonious environment that acknowledges the past while embracing Austin’s dynamic future. As we look back on this achievement, we feel immense pride in having played a role in preserving the character of one of Austin’s historic treasures.
