At Pravo Construction, our role in the community extends far beyond building and renovating spaces. It’s about contributing to the growth and resilience of the people and organizations that make Austin a vibrant and compassionate city. Throughout 2024, we’ve been privileged to support several local charities and events whose missions align with our core values. Here’s a closer look at these incredible organizations and the ways we’ve partnered with them to make an impact and how to get involved!
The Other Ones Foundation (TOOF): Aiding Austin’s Unhoused Community
The Other Ones Foundation (TOOF) takes a compassionate approach to addressing homelessness in Austin. They provide low-barrier work opportunities, emergency shelter, and pathways to long-term stability through supportive services.
Pravo Construction collaborated with TOOF on their transitional shelter community projects that can be found throughout the city. Our team, working alongside great organizations like Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA), contributed time and expertise to enhance the safety and functionality of their facilities, as well as enjoy time with our RECA peers.
How You Can Help:
TOOF relies on community support to continue its life-changing work. You can join their volunteer programs, donate, or sponsor specific shelter or work program initiatives.

Austin Wildlife Rescue: Protecting Central Texas Wildlife
Austin Wildlife Rescue (AWR) has been a cornerstone of wildlife rehabilitation in our area for decades; rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing injured and orphaned animals while educating the public on how to coexist with wildlife. Their mission is not only to save animals but also to foster a deeper understanding of the role wildlife plays in our ecosystems.
This year, Pravo Construction had the privilege of supporting AWR through a transformative collaboration with the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA). Together, we provided much-needed repairs and upgrades to the AWR facility, ensuring it continues to be a safe and welcoming place for both animals and the public.
Jules Maron, Executive Director of Austin Wildlife Rescue, expressed her gratitude for the network’s support:
“We were so surprised and beyond excited for the Real Estate Council of Austin to choose us as its nonprofit to provide some much needed repair and upgrades for the building. Pravo Construction was vital in the efforts to do major repairs on drywall for our ceiling and painting. Their teams truly went above and beyond to not only do much needed repairs, but also make the building look beautiful!”
How You Can Help:
You can support Austin Wildlife Rescue by volunteering, donating supplies from their wish list, or making a monetary donation. Every effort helps ensure the survival of Central Texas wildlife.

With the joy we have serving and participating in events like the YMBL Annual tournament, Pravo Construction joins other local businesses and community advocates in ensuring ASC continues to provide life-changing experiences for Austin’s youth.
Nick Owens, Vice President of Centric Commercial and an advocate for ASC, shared his appreciation for the industry’s collaboration:
“The local construction and real estate industry has been tremendously supportive of ASC. From the annual clean-up day, countless industry stakeholders have contributed to making ASC a better place. We are grateful for their significant impact and partnerships!”

Flatwater Foundation: Supporting Mental Health Through Movement
The Flatwater Foundation is a beacon of hope for families navigating the emotional challenges of a cancer diagnosis, providing access to mental health therapy and support by removing financial barriers. Among its many impactful initiatives, the Flatwater Runs stand out as a community-driven effort to raise funds and awareness for mental health services while promoting wellness and connection.
This year, Pravo Construction proudly joined the cause, with our CEO and Founder, Drew Hanish, lacing up his running shoes to participate in the Flatwater Runs. These runs bring together individuals from all walks of life who are united by a shared commitment to mental health and well-being. Drew’s involvement highlights Pravo Construction’s dedication to supporting organizations that create meaningful change in the lives of those facing cancer.
The Flatwater Runs aren’t just about clocking miles—they’re about making every step count. Through our partnerships and participation with these organizations, Pravo Construction has been provided the opportunity to give back to the city and causes we hold dear to our hearts. Each collaboration has reinforced our belief that strong communities are built on compassion, service, and a commitment to uplifting those in need.
