Pravo partnered with the City of Round Rock to restore the historic Palm House at Old Settlers Park, preserving the character of the Recorded Texas Historic Landmark while extending the life of the structure for future generations. The project required careful restoration of original building elements alongside repairs to deteriorated and termite-damaged conditions.
The restoration included rebuilding the front porch, recreating historic chamfered columns, installing a new cedar shake roof, and refurbishing original windows, shutters, doors, wood flooring, and interior finishes. New limestone skirting, accessibility improvements, electrical service, insulation, and HVAC were thoughtfully integrated to improve long-term functionality while respecting the Palm House’s historic character.
